2010 ARCTIC WINTER GAMES
An International Celebration
March 6 - 13, Grande Prairie, Alberta
This international celebration of sport and culture is expected to bring together almost 2,000 youth from regions north of the 55th parallel. Grande Prairie is the southernmost city ever to host these biennial games.
The 2010 Arctic Winter Games will feature both Ski and Snowshoe Biathlon events. Find all sorts of information about the Games at the official Arctic Winter Games website.
Categories and Eligiblity
Eligible athletes for both Ski and Snowshoe biathlon will compete in four categories:
Junior Female - born 1992 - 1994
Junior Male - born 1992 - 1994
Juvenile Female - born 1995 or later
Juventile Male - born 1995 or later
Alberta athletes must reside north of 55 degrees to be eligible. Click here for a list of Alberta communities north of 55 degrees.
Selection Events

The Ski Biathlon qualifier for the Arctic Winter Games, originally scheduled for December 12-13, has been re-scheduled to January 9-10 in Camrose, as part of Calforex Cup #3.
Click here for details on the qualifier. Ski Biathlon/Snowshoe Biathlon- Ski Biathlon selection will occur December 12/13 at the Wapiti Nordic Ski Trails in Grande Prairie. Events will include an Individual and a Sprint. Click here for the Event Invitation.
Coaches
