2010 CANADA GAMES TRAINING SQUAD ANNOUNCED (June 3)

Team Alberta will be represented by four male and four female athletes at the 2010 Canada Winter Games, taking place February 10 – 20 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Eligible athletes are those born 1990 – 1993, although provisions exist to select younger athletes to the Team. Athletes at the Games must be capable of competing according to the regulations and distances established for Junior Men and Junior Women.

The following Alberta athletes have been nominated to the CWG Squad for 2010. Athletes nominated to the Squad will be given priority access to Team Alberta training camps and activities leading up to the Games. Nomination to the Squad does not, however, imply priority status in regard to team selection. (Canada Games Team Selection Criteria will be posted in the fall of 2010.)

Athletes must accept their nomination to the Squad by sending an email to Alan Ball, stating that they accept the nomination, by June 12th.
