CANADA GAMES CAMP WRAP-UP (Dec. 19)
Sixteen of Alberta’s finest young biathletes began the build-up to the 2015 Canada Winter Games this past weekend with a training camp in Canmore. The camp featured roller-ski and shooting testing in the new Nordic Consortium Lab. in addition to training at Mt. Shark and Lake Louise. The team's testing was the first sustained workout for the Lab, especially for the new shooting electronics. The CWG athletes were excited to be the guinea pigs and look forward to re-testing in 2013.

The group also got to enjoy some of the World Cup XC action happening at the Nordic Centre. Thanks to coaches Kristin Jensen, Geret Coyne, and Alan Ball, as well as Chris Lindsay from Biathlon Canada for their hard work. A special thank-you to Jane Robertson for her inventive meal plans. Thanks also to the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation for supporting Biathlon Alberta’s Canada Games program, and Own the Podium and WinSport for their support of the lab testing.
