TEAM AB - NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SELECTION (Feb. 21)
Selection percentages for the 2011 National Championships are now final, and are posted here. Selected and sanctioned athletes will receive letters, via email, today.
GRANDE PRAIRIE CALFOREX CANCELLED (Feb. 17)
After careful consideration of the conditions expected this weekend in Grande Prairie, the event has been cancelled due the forecast frigid temperatures.
CANADA GAMES - IN PURSUIT OF A PODIUM SWEEP (Feb. 17)
Alberta men swept the top-4 positions in yesterday's Pursuit at the Canada Games! Congratulations to Scott Gow, Christian Gow, Aaron Gillmor, and Stuart Harden, who finished 1st through 4th respectively. The women meanwhile finished strong, with all four in the top-10: Emma Lunder - 6th, Danielle Vrielink - 7th, Emma Lodge - 8th, and Jessica Paterson - 10th. Biathlon competition wraps up Friday with the Relay.

CANADA GAMES SPRINT - ALBERTA MEN IN CONTROL (Feb. 15)
Alberta men continued their domination of the podium today at the Canada Games! Scott Gow won his second gold of the Games, while Aaron Gillmor and Stuart Harden finished second and third respectively, with Christian Gow not far back in 5th place. All four Alberta women once again placed top-ten, with Emma Lunder just shy of the podium in 4th, Emma Lodge in 6th, Jessica Paterson in 9th, and Danielle Vrielink in 10th.

ALBERTA MEN DOMINATE INDIVIDUAL (Feb. 14)
Congratulations to Scott Gow, Stuart Harden, and Christian Gow, who claimed gold, silver, and bronze respectively in the Individual competition Sunday at the Canada Winter Games! All Alberta athletes finished in the top-10, including Aaron Gillmor- 9th, Danielle Vrielink-5th, Emma Lunder-7th, Emma Lodge-9th, and Jessica Paterson-10th. Congratulation to the entire team, and good luck in tomorrow's Sprint!

CANADA GAMES SCHEDULE AND ROSTER (Feb. 10)
Biathlon competition at the Canada Games gets underway Sunday, with an Individual. Alberta will be represented by the following athletes, competing in just two categories:
Women: Emma Lodge, Emma Lunder, Jessica Paterson, Danielle Vrielink
Men: Aaron Gillmor, Christian Gow, Scott Gow, Stuart Harden
The schedule is as follows: Feb. 13 - Individual, Feb. 15 - Sprint, Feb. 16 - Pursuit, Feb. 18 - Relay

SCOTT GOW NAMED TEAM ALBERTA FLAGBEARER (Feb. 10)
Exciting news leading up to the Canada Games! Scott Gow has been named Team Alberta flagbearer, and will carry the Alberta flag at tomorrow''s opening ceremony. Congratulations Scott!

INDIVIDUAL SUCCESS FOR ALBERTANS (Feb. 3)
BIG congratulations to Scott Gow for his 9th place finish and Stuart Harden for his 18th place finish in the Individual competitions at the World Youth/Junior Championships in the Czech Republic! Other Alberta Youth results from the Individual include Macx Davies (34th), Christian Gow (53rd), Danielle Vrielink (47th). Meanwhile, in Junior Women's competition, Emma Lunder finished 52nd. The Championships conclude Friday and Saturday with Relays.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SELECTION (Feb. 2)
A preliminary list of selection percentages for the National Championships is now available here. Note that this list is preliminary, as the final selection event for Senior Boys and Girls has yet to occur and will have an effect on the overall ranking. Please be aware of the following regarding the National Championships:
The final Team Alberta list will be posted on February 21st, at which time selected athletes, and athletes eligible for sanctioned status, will be notified by e-mail.
Confirmation of attendance at Nationals, in addition to the Team Fee, will be due no later than Monday, February 28th.
