Notice of Special General Meeting
July 12, 2010
As many members will recall, Biathlon Alberta put forth to its membership new bylaws at a Special General Meeting in March of this year. These bylaws were adopted, by Special Resolution, at this meeting and forwarded to Corporate Registries for formal approval. Recently, the bylaws were returned and deemed “deficient” by Registries. The news, however, isn’t all bad, as our new bylaws are not all that deficient—only minor changes are required.
The bylaws have been revised, and are now posted here.
The bylaw issue was discussed at a recent Board meeting, at which time a desire was expressed to run our upcoming AGM (see below) according to the new bylaws. As such, we will host a Special General Meeting of the Association, by teleconference, on Monday, the 12th of July at 7:00 pm.
All Association members are invited to attend this meeting. Voting, however, is on a per-club basis, as defined by our current bylaws.
